Changes to User Login Credentials for ESERVICE on IBM.com
All of the site-specific user data has been migrated within ESERVICE to IBM.com,
therefore existing users will still have the same settings, options and so forth. The
change which has taken place is the method of authentication. On IBM.com, ESERVICE will
now use the IBM ID for authentication. Users will not have to take any specific action
provided that ALL of the following criteria are met:
- The user already has an IBM ID for IBM.com
- The form of the IBM ID is email address
- The email address is EXACTLY the same as your former registration on Ascential.com
Users who do not already have an IBM ID can proceed to the ESERVICE site on IBM.com using the
URL above, and then click on the registration link on the login page. The registration process is
short and easy (very much more so than it was on Ascential.com.) Be sure to use the EXACT
same email address that you used on Ascential.com.
Users who still log in to IBM with a user id that is not their email address should
contact the ESERVICE Site Administration team for assistance. This team is availble
through email at eservadm@us.ibm.com
Users whose IBM ID email does not match the one they used on Ascential.com should
read the following considerations to decide what to do. If the user is a Primary
Site contact, and has already managed licenses on Ascential.com, that user should
register for a new IBM ID with the same email address used on Ascential.com.
Otherwise, the user has the option of either registering for a new IBM ID with
the same email address as Ascential.com, or else they can contact the ESERVICE
Site Administration team for assistance. This team is availble through email at
eservadm@us.ibm.com.
